Davey was one of the founding members of AFI. Starting the band with friends Adam Carson, Vic Chalker and Mark Stopholse back in 1991 in Ukiah California. Davey, who also lives a Vegan lifestyle is also Straight Edge. Davey did a side project afew years ago called Son of Sam along with members of Danzig and Samhain. Davey also lent his voice to the movie Live Freaky Die Freaky where he plays a character called "Hay".
Davey also had a clothing line glitter boy but there were some problems so it end.
but he is working on a new one for 2007, so we only have to wait.
He also has a side project with jade called blaqk audio,the album is coming for August 14, it's called CexCells and you can listen their new single Stiff Kittens on their myspace

;Jade joined AFI in 1998 shortly before the band recored Black Sails in the Sunset. Before AFI Jade was the guitarist for two bands, they were Redemptipon 87, Influence 13 and Loose Change. If you don't know already Loose Change was the band who did a little known split with AFI call Dork. Which features Adams face on the cover. Jade, like Adam is vegetarian. Not Vegan though like Davey and Hunter are. Jade is the one who writes most of the music for the band.

Adam was also one of the founding members of AFI. When he started out in the band he didn't even own a drum set. Adam's face graces the cover of the first ever release by AFI "Dork". It was a split 7" done with Loose Change in 1993. Adam also played drums for Tiger Army when they were first starting out. Currently it is guessed that AFI is Adams only band and that he doesn't have any side projects. Of course that could be wrong.

Hunter first joined AFI in 1997 shortly after Shut Your Mouth and Open your Eyes came out. He, like Davey lives a Vegan lifestyle. Before joining AFI Hunter played bass for two bands, they were called The Frisk and The Force. He also currently has a side project called Hunter Revenge which is influenced by Prince, who Hunter has been a fan of for many years. Hunter is also a supported of Macbeth vegan footwear.
